Happy 15th Anniversary Hard Rock FM!

Couple of days ago Hard Rock FM invites me to do a radio drama Malin Kundang for their 15th anniversary. I played Malin's secretary, and Pandji as Malin's friend. You can say its a modern version of the legend. Slank also performed, I catched their live acoustic on my youtube channel if you wanted to take a look, here. Anyway, Happy 15th Anniversary Hard Rock FM!

Free on Saturday the launch

Last night I went to FOS (Free On Saturday) album launch at 7/11 Wahid Hasyim. It started at 11.55 pm with their song Mamaku Bilang without Ariyo around, but his older brother Iwin holding the mike. What gives, its April fools day. Finally Ariyo came, and sang the song. They played their newest single Angel and Sexy afterwards. This song  (Sexy) is bloody catchy, but darn it, I stand like literally next to the speaker, so you can't hear Ariyo's vocal cleary on the video. Next, they are playing Tonight with a really nice bass intro. Whats Going On and Nggak Normal come next.
Its all finished at 2 am, Saturday and announced as Rock and Roll Night for FOS.
It was a great night for us the rock lovers, for FOS and for Indonesia's music industry.
God bless Rock and roll!

My New Favorites

Just watched a new video clip Angel from a new rock band FOS (Free On Saturday). This song definitely quenched our thirst for rock and roll! It has a nice blues intro, very sexy! Kudos Ariyo, Coki and Bey! This music industry does in desperate need for new rock band. You could watch their first clip Mamaku Bilang here, and you can see that the Rolling Stone are their biggest muse. And I think I'm gonna make Coki as one of my favorite guitar player. Every note that he played so seductive and have a deep meaningful feeling. Can't wait to get their album, gonna add it on my Kick Start playlist pretty soon. You can follow them on twitter @FOSnation .

Last weekend me, Ereek and Junot went to Bandung for Junot DJ's gig. Ereek is from Bandung, so he introduced us to his favorite restaurant TIZI.

We had a wonderful breakfast and I cant hold it for not taking a picture of those yummy food! uber delicious!

2 months ago Junot took my camera with him to Laidback Luke's gig at Ancol. Awesome!
I can't go since the deadline kept me away from anything fun. So I let my NEX-5 do the stalking.

Few months ago , me and Junot are working on a fashion consultant and styling project for bands. It started when I helped the Dance Company for their fashion spread on Rolling Stone Indonesia. After that, the news are spread very quickly and many of them were interested with my work. So this next project for Yovie and Nuno newest album titled "Winning Eleven", I teamed up with Junot. We update their looks! so much fun.

Playground 2

Another shot from muddy Playground

Playground

I went to PLAYGROUND two months ago, quite a experience. Its a music and DJ festival , more like Zouk Out Singapore. But if ZO is a beach rave party, then this would be a mud rave party-the rain was off the scale. Lots of international DJ's and bands performed, but my heart fell for the Cuban Brothers. What a true entertainer...

Rock n Roll Daddies

Im one of the person who 100% agree with a phrase "Rock and roll its all about the aura, never about the look", well needless to say, the person who got me into that kind of thinking is Ipang . Yeah I know he's totally got the package- his aura, his look, his voice. Makes me realize how many names popping into our head when we have to name at least 5 rock band in the 90's . Hundreds..Nowdays? not really. If we're talking about rock n roll music in Indonesia its kinda rare. The -trying too hard rock n roll wannabe band- LOTS!! and -Im a rockstar because Im rebel and drink beer- Plenty!! Tell me if Im wrong but these guy's do got it. 4 great musician in Indonesia work their way up into the rock scene in one band called The Dance Company. Not quite a dancer, not quite a company but with their background as the lead singer in top pop band do make people took them seriously. Perfect combination between Rock-and a hint of -nice RBT Ill have some-kind of music. From pop to rock, these daddy's surely gonna rock Indonesia's music industry with their first single Papa Rock n' Roll, and I promise you its just getting better..
